Banana Lumpia (Guam Family Recipe)

- 4 medium bananas ripe and firm

- Sugar and cinnamon (mixed together, even ratio)

- 6 lumpia/pastry wrappers

- vanilla ice cream (optional)

- chocolate syrup (optional)

- whip cream (optional)

- Vegetable or canola oil for deep frying


Cut banana into three slices lengthwise. Place two pieces of banana on each lumpia wrapper. Sprinkle 1 TBL sugar/1 TBL cinnamon mixture evenly on bananas. Wrap in envelope fashion, sealing ends with water.

Fry banana lumpias in hot oil until golden brown and bananas have cooked. Serve immediately.
(optional) Serve with vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate syrup and whip cream
