Fried Oreos


1 package of Oreos


11/3 tablespoon canola/veggie oil

1 cup milk

pinch of salt

1 egg


Pot with hot canola/veg oil heated to 350 F

Heat oil in pot on stove over medium heat. Combine milk, egg and oil in a large bowl and mix well with whisk. Add a pinch of salt to the SweetStacks Gourmet Pancake mix and add to milk mixture. Mix all with whisk until clump free.

If your batter is too thin, just add more mix (1/4 cup at a time) until it's thick enough to cover the oreo well!

Before start frying ensure that the oil has reached 350 F. If so turn down the heat just a bit so the oil doesn't keep going up in temp.

Dip the oreos into batter and coat the oreos well. Do not soak in batter too long. Just do a few at a time. If you soak oreos in batter for too long they will get soft and will be difficult to fry.

Lower oreos gently and carefully into the hot oil, turning them over frequently for 2-3 until golden brown. Caution: Always be careful when cooking with hot oil.

Remove from cooking oil and drain on paper towels on a plate or a draining rack.

Yields about 4 servings.
