Banana Donuts (Guam Family Recipe)

Banana Donuts (Guam Family Recipe)

Ingredients

2 cups SweetStacks Banana Donut Mix

2/3 cups Milk

1 egg

3 ripe bananas

1/2 cup sugar

vanilla ice cream (optional)

Vegetable or Canola oil (for frying)

1 Ice Cream Scoop

1 Skewer

Instructions

Mash ripe bananas in a bowl with masher or a fork.

Add milk, egg and SweetStacks Banana Donut Mix to bowl and mix until ingredients are thoroughly mixed and batter is thick.

Pour oil into deep frying pan until pan is half full. Heat oil at medium heat until oil is hot.

Use ice cream scoop to scoop batter from bowl and empty batter into hot oil. Batter will form into a round donut(see photo).

Cook bottom side of donut for 90 seconds to 120 seconds or until side is golden brown. Flip donut to cook other side until golden brown. Use skewer to poke donut to ensure that donut is done. If skewer is clear/clean after poking then donut is cooked. You may need to keep flipping donut in oil until donut is done. Do not over cook or burn.

When donut is completely cooked remove from oil and drain donuts and cool before serving.

Roll donut in sugar or sprinkle sugar on donuts. Or serve plain.

Or serve with vanilla ice cream (Optional)

Makes approximately 10 banana donuts.
